– West Ealing Station Works, Piling Activity, September 2015
Network Rail is undertaking works in your area on behalf of Crossrail, the new railway linking Reading and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east, via new tunnels under central London We are writing to let you know that on the weekend of 12/13 and 19/20 September we will be undertaking piling at West Ealing Station to install 3 Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) foundations. This will involve driving 3 circular steel piles into the ground during the early hours of Sunday mornings and then installing them to their final level with a pile hammer during day time hours on Sunday 13 and 20 September. This activity is noisy but we have aimed to ensure the noisiest activity is undertaken during day time hours. Our contractor has worked closely with the London Borough of Ealing to secure appropriate consents for the works to proceed. We apologise for any disruption this work may cause and will endeavour to minimise the impact on local residents and station users. Those working on site will be briefed on their obligations to work considerately. If you have any queries please call our dedicated 24-hour National Helpline on 03457 11 41 41 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
