Update from the Police Safer Neighbourhood ward panel

The following is the latest update to the Police Safer Neighbourhood ward panel which should be of interest to DCA members.

All Ward Panel Chairs

There is currently a large restructuring of the Metropolitan Police both in respect to our structure and practices. As you can imagine this has been very time consuming trying to get it right for Ealing so that we continue to meet the needs of our…

Fly tipping on Manor Road

Fly tipping on Manor Rd between Argyle Road & Drayton Road opposite shops on waste land area behind gates.  Ealing Council will not pick it up because it's not on the pavement.  Does anyone know who the land belongs to?

Consultation on Extensions without Permission

Dear Neighbours,

This is a reminder that time has almost run out to make your views know on the issue of un-reguated extensions to houses and businesses.

It really matters that you do respond as once this is changed you will have no rights to object to quite major extensions being built by neigbouring home owners or businesses including…

Drayton Green Primary expansion

I'm very worried about the planned expansion of Drayton Green Primary and how this will affect the area and in particular Drayton Grove residents.  We already have more than our fair share of footfall, traffic/large vehicle congestion and noise on a small residential cul de sac as a result of the school.  This will all increase when the school is expanded and I feel strongly that the entrance to Drayton Green Primary should be re-located.  I feel that there has been little to zero…

Drayton Green Primary consultation

Thank you to all of the members who put together and submitted the DCA submission on the Drayton Green Primary expansion - I have scarcely ever seen such a professional work.  It inspired me to write my own email backing it up - which I have sent to the council as suggested - I would urge all of you to do the same.  In particular it would really serve    our childrens' interests and our property values if the school were really upgraded using the space of the brownfield site next door.

Scam on Guttering

Dear memebrs,

I received a flier through my door this morning as per the attached file and was almost tempted to call.

Then I remembered the many previous incidents of rogue tradesmen using exactly the same 'we are working on a neighbours property...'

Its possible they are legitimate, but I suggest you stay away from these people as it looks like a classic scam that starts with guttering and quickly develops into bogus roof repairs and…

LIDO Junction

As you may be aware the council plans to make changes to the junction of Drayton Green Road and the Uxbridge Road.

This will undoubtedly affect you as a driver and as a pedestrian so I suggest you look through the plans and provide comments.
