Stand up for Social Work campaign – Community Care

Community Care is re-launching its popular Stand up for Social Work campaign to raise the profile of social work in an election year and in the face of budget cuts combined with huge demand.

They want to showcase the inspiring work that is being done every day by social workers but also want greater transparency about the impact of budget cuts and the huge increases in demand seen over the last few years. The toll this is taking on dedicated and skilled professionals cannot be ignored if service users are to stay safe.

They  believe that standing up for social work means three things:

  • Taking pride in the great work you do and talking about it to inspire others
  • Being honest about the challenges you face
  • Giving you the support you need to protect vulnerable people

Healthwatch Ealing Drop-in Service

On the last Friday of every month, Healthwatch Ealing will be holding a Drop-in Service. This year we will be hosting our drop-in service at various locations around the Borough including, Southall, Acton, Greenford, Northolt and West Ealing.

This month will be:

Date: Friday 27th March 2015

Time: 11:00am — 2:00pm

Venue: Southall Dominion Centre, 112 The Green, Southall, Middlesex UB2 4BQ

This will be an opportunity for local people to come in and tell us their experiences of Health and Social Care. Their voice will help to build a picture of how to improve our local health and social care services. Whether their story highlights a concern or they want to tell us about a positive experience of a service, we want to hear from everyone in the community.

We will also help local people find information on local health or social care service they need.

Kind regards,
